Starter Cord Applications

  • Starting a small engine. If you own a lawnmower or any small gas-powered tool, you are very familiar with how a starter cord works. Since you have to pull on the cord aggressively to get the engine to fire, it’s necessary for this cord to be both strong and durable.
  • Repair work. Even a good starter cord can deteriorate over time. If you have a piece of equipment that needs repair, our starter cord is perfect for the job.
  • Tie-down tasks. Away from an engine, this cord can also be used for general tie down work, since it is impressively strong, knots easily, and is resistant to rot.

Benefits of Starter Cord

  • Can withstand oil. Given its proximity to the engine of your piece of equipment, it’s important that this cord is designed to resist damage from oil.
  • Low stretch. You don’t want your starter cord to stretch, as that stretching action would waste some of the force you put into each pull. Our starter rope is made from premium nylon and offers little stretch.
  • Extend equipment life. Gas-powered equipment can be expensive, so it’s worth your time and effort to repair these kinds of products with a fresh starter cord.
